Jasmine Thompson (born 8 November 2000) is a singer from Central London and is of half English half Chinese descent. Her acoustic reworking of Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody” made #32 on the UK Singles Chart after being featured in an advert for supermarket chain Sainsbury’s for their by Sainsbury’s range.

Jasmines genres are Pop, Pop-Rock and Indie. As of 2010, the audience numbers have doubled with each video on YouTube and are in 2016 already over 300 million views.

She lives in London.

2019 started for us fans with Jasmine’s comeback and her announcement that her new EP ‘colour’ will be released on March 29th and the first single ‘loyal’ was released everywhere on February the 15th.

2017 started for Jasmine with a performance in Italy at the “Firence 4 Ever” event. Her “Jesus To A Child” cover was a tribute to George Michael, who died just a few days ago.

Jasmine & we fans loved her tribute so much, that she made a full cover video at the end of January. Early 2017 experienced Jasmine’s Cover of “Mad World” a huge success in France and she made a promotial tour at a lot of radio stations in Paris & an appearance in Lyon.

Right after France travelled Jasmine to the USA. Her first stop was in New York City where she, inter alia, made some photoshootings, which you can see in this little recap video.

Release: May 19th

During Jasmine’s time in the USA was the 1st song from her new “Wonderland” EP released together with this video. Just a week later – Jasmine was now in Los Angeles – was the release of her 2nd song from the EP, called “Old Friends“. The song was also used in the TV show ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ (Season 13, Episode 21) and reached the US top 100 iTunes charts just a day after the premiere.

2016 started for Jasmine in March with the supporting tour for Robin Schulz with a lot of venues all over Europe. One of them was in Cologne.

At the end of March did Jasmine a big promo tour in Russia with a lot of live performances at radio stations and TV channels.

Right after South Africa made Jasmine a very relaxed LIVE Q&A on Facebook from her home, together with Annie, Ben & her manager Will Gresford.

In the early month of 2016 was Jasmine a lot of times in a studio to write more songs for her upcoming album – which should be released before the end of 2016 – but made also an appearance at “The Voice of Italy” in May.

In July was Jasmine’s cover of “Mad World” used in the trailer of “American Pastoral” with Ewan McGregor. The 8th of July was the release day of her original song “Rise Up“. Jasmine’s fans loved the song that much, that they made a fan lyrics video, which you can see here.

The Autumn 2016 was a touring time for Jasmine. She performed at the iDays Festival in Italy, Europa Plus in Russia, the Lichterfest in Germany and was back on tour with Felix Jaehn.

September the 11th was the release day of the official music video from “Rise Up” which Jasmine produced together with Thomas Jack.

More gigs followed at the end of 2016, like the “Night Of Emotion” in Germany.


2015 starts for Jasmine with a 3-week-trip to the east and west coast from the USA. She did a lot of singing and songwriting sessions there. While Jasmine was in the US, she also recorded a cover of “Thinking Out Loud” and did a medley from Imagine Dragons songs with Max & Kurt Schneider.
At the end of Feburary Jasmine was together with Robin Schulz back in Paris to perform on two french TV channels: ‘Le Mag’ & ‘C à vous‘. A few days later, back in London, Jasmine was with Ben Martinez at “The Bedford” and they performed fours songs live.

On March the 27th. Jasmine attended at the ECHO Awards in Berlin (Germany) and performed together with Robin Schulz and other artist a medley from Robin’s song.

The new remix of “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better) from Felix Jaehn feat. Jasmine Thompson was released in Germany, Austria & Switzerland on April the 3th and reached after just one day position 4 on the iTunes Dance charts from Germany.

At the beginning of May, Jasmine performed at the NRJ Fashion Night in Zurich / Switzerland. She did an outstanding and breathtaking cover from “Mad World” and performed together with Felix Jaehn “Ain’t Nobody“.

On May the 8th “Ain’t Nobody” reached position number 1 in the official single charts from Germany and stayed there for whole 8 weeks! It was Jasmine’s first #1 at an official chart ever.

After almost one year she was together with Cody Simpson back on a stage. They both performed a “Four, Five Seconds” cover in Camden, London.

To promote “Adore”, she traveld to 8 cities in Germany and did a great interview on a german morning show – together with an acoustic version from “Adore”. Jasmine was also on countless radio stations.

On the September the 20th started Jasmine her supporting tour with Ella Eyre in Germany and in the United Kingdom with 10 venues and even got her birthday cake ON STAGE. After that tour was a Tour Diary video from the venues in Germany released on YouTube.

At the end of 2015 flew Jasmine back to the USA for one month to produce & record songs for her upcoming album. She was in New York and also in L.A. where this Periscope video was filmed together with Cody Simpson & Adrian Cota. During her time in the US, Jasmine did two more cover songs: “Isaiha” with Corey Harper & a beautiful accoustic version from Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody”.


She released her second Album “Another Bundle of Tantrums” in April.

During June-July she completed her first UK Tour (together with Ben Martinez) as a support act for Cody Simpson on 30th of June with all in all 5 shows over the whole UK.
London (30.06.), Norwich (01.07.), Edinburgh (02.07.), Manchester (05.07.),  as well as Burmingham (06.07.).

In September 2014 Thompson’s cover of “Everybody Hurts” was used in the BBC autumn trailer for EastEnders. The trailer showed characters Kat Moon, Sharon Watts and Linda Carter repeating Thompson’s lyrics.

Also in September 2014 Jasmine’s cover of “A Thousand Years” was played in the MTV show “Finding Carter” (Season 1, Episode 11)

On September the 19th 2014 she featured the song “Sun Goes Down” on the new album “Prayer” from Robin Schulz with her vocals, which climbed in the German iTunes chart on position number 1 in the first weeks and reached position number 2 in the official German single chart in the first week of November. The remix EP from this song reached number 1 of the official German DJ chart in the middle of November.

On October the 1st she had a small apperance togther with Ben Martinez at ‘The Bedford’ in London.
In the same month Jasmine’s cover song “Mad World” was used for two weeks by the US tv channel FOX to promote their new series “Gracepoint”. (unfortunately there is no video about it)
Also in October Jasmine opened the Giro d’Italia bike tour in Milan and sang her cover of “Let Her Go” the first time live. At the end of October Jasmine Thompsons version of “Pompeii” was used from the british sport channel ‘Sky Sports’ after the football match Liverpool vs Madrid.

At the beginning of November Satoko Miyahara used Jasmine’s cover of “Let Her Go” during her figure skating at the ‘Skate Canada’ event. On November the 13th she reached 100 million viewers on her Youtube channel. In the middle of November she had together with Ben Martinez a gig at “The Roof Gardens” in London. They both performed five songs.
At the end of November, Jasmine was on promo tour with Robin Schulz in France and had a live appearance on the french TV channels NRJ12 and CANAL+.

At December the 1st Jasmine had together with Ben Martinez another gig in London at the “Queen of Hoxton” and they performed five songs at this evening. On the 6th of December she performed “Sun Goes Down” on the biggest German TV channel ‘RTL’ in the most viewed music show ‘Die Chartshow’. Just two days later, Jasmine sang “Sun Goes Down” live at the MTV Live Sessions in Dusseldorf / Germany in front of 800 people.
Jasmine released her new EP “Take Cover” at December the 9th with 5 songs: “Sun Goes Down (Acoustic)”, “Riptide”, “Stay With Me”, “Chandelier” and “Do You Want To Build A Snowman”. The new EP followed a new music video for “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” on December the 11th.

Jasmine wins with her coversong “Let Her Go” (by Passenger”) the 2nd place in only 2 from 3 rounds BEAT100 Music Video Chart. This video was so successful that Passenger have it published on their Facebook page.
